Quilt Details: Rhapsody

Rhapsody is a tessellating design inspired by the cover to Jinny's book, Color Confidence for Quilters (now out of print.) Jinny challenged herself to use a huge variety of fabrics in the flowing design. (She lost count, but we know it's well over 100!)

The quilt itself is a lesson in color shading. Note how the colors in each shape transition through several colors:  from red to purple, tan to green and aqua, pink to brown, and more.  The quilt pattern is featured in Jinny's book, Designing Tessellations (now out of print.)

Measures 76" x 98". Completed in 1997.
