Jinny Beyer designed this tool as an aid for planning color schemes for quilts. All 150 fabrics from Jinny's Palette fabric collection are included and each one is mounted separately on a 1 1/2" x 7" piece of light-weight cardboard. The pieces are put together with a screw post and the swatches can be fanned out and moved around to plan hundreds of exciting color schemes. The name of the fabric as well as an order number are printed on the back of each card.
The Portable Palette complements Jinny's unique color theory: any color scheme can be successful as long as the colors shade together and there is a "deep dark" color and an "accent".
Fan out any 20 Portable Palette swatches in order. No matter where you begin, you will have a beautiful color combination. Or, move the swatches around, shading colors together from different places on the palette to create hundreds of unique color combinations.
To select a color scheme to complement a particular print, wallpaper or upholstery fabric, find swatches from the Portable Palette that match each of the colors in the print, then use whatever other colors from the Portable Palette are necessary to shade those exact match colors together. The result will always be an exciting, dynamic color combination!
