Two kitties curled up together inspired Jinny to create this fun, tessellating pattern. This trick to making this seemingly complex design of positive/negative tessellating cats is in the pattern design: you create square blocks that incorporate parts of a light and a dark kitty that join together to create the illusion.
The blocks can be entirely paper pieced and the blocks are then sewn together with straight seams. There are no Y- or partial-seams to sew. Careful attention to fabric placement is critical, though!
