This beautiful quilt alternates a traditional chain block with an original Jinny Beyer compass design.
The compass blocks feature patches that are fussy cut from a large-scale paisley fabric and appliquéd into the block in a hybrid patchwork/appliqué technique that Jinny developed and calls soft-edge piecing.
The pattern includes detailed soft-edge piecing instructions, as well as an alternative for those who prefer not to use this technique.
