Sapphire Star is featured in the October 2011 issue of McCall's Quilting magazine. The quilt's jewel tones sparkle in the gorgeous star design. The pattern for the quilt is on page 42.

The quilt is sewn from strip-pieced diamond units.  Border print strips frame the star and the quilt overall.

Suitable for intermediate quilters, techniques include working with bias edges and inset seams.
